Building Process


A project as important and complex as designing and building your custom home or custom renovation should be managed systematically and delicately.

Developing or upgrading your real estate is one of the biggest investments that you will make; therefore it’s important to select a contractor that can give you the attention you deserve so that you can have peace of mind knowing that it will be built to meet your unique needs, styles and preferences.

At Coast & Country Custom Homes we have developed a process that ensures we deliver high quality construction, within budget, and on time for clients with homes in the Langley, Surrey and Fraser Valley.

Plan Design:

This is an important phase of the process, it is where we have the opportunity to get to know you, your needs, your wants, your likes, your dislikes, the vibe you want from your home, your end goals, etc… We prefer to be involved in the plan design process; however, if you already have plans drawn up, we are still happy to work with you and build you the custom home of your dreams.

Lot Selection:

If required, land acquisition assistance can be provided. We can meet you on-site at the purchased or prospective property to discuss building options that compliment the space and take advantage of views.

Architectural Design:

Like artists, architects and designers generally specialize in one type of design. This is why we use a key group of trusted and experienced architects and designers that specialize in design concepts ranging from contemporary to traditional. The appropriate design specialist will be suggested based on each client’s personal vision. If you have already had your plans designed, Coast & Country Custom Homes will review your plans with you and offer suggestions if required.

Interior Design:

For the same reason why we use multiple architects, we also use multiple interior designers. Everyone knows what they like and dislike, but not everyone is able to put it all together in a custom design. Your home says something about you—it represents your unique personality and style. We pair you with an interior designer that will develop a design that reflects your personality, style, and lifestyle needs.

Budget Forecasting:

We provide you with a detailed budget forecast prior to initiating the build. We will work with you to solidify the investment and ensure the build meets your expectations within your set budget. A transparent building process is maintained throughout the build. You will be provided with a monthly ledger detailing expenditures. Each expense is backed up with the corresponding invoice.

Construction:

Before construction even starts, we take steps to ensure the process is as stress-free as possible for each client: starting with submitting the permit to having utilities brought to the property. The project manager will be onsite to manage the trades, meet with inspectors, as well as ensure the property is clean and safe. Through the duration of the project, we provide constant updates regarding progress and we are always available for an onsite visit with you.

Project Completion:

Once the house is completed, we will walk through with you, and any deficiencies will be addressed in a prompt manor. Customer satisfaction is very important to our company. We offer a 10-year warranty through Progressive & Pacific Home Warranty; on-going service and support will be provided as needed within the warranty period.
